Dog Training Tip

Did you know that you should not let your dog enter a doorway ahead of you?  You might say, "Why does it matter?"  Well for one thing; you don't want your dog racing out of every open door.  Teach your dog to wait at a doorway.  You can have them sit or stand, your preference.  Tell them to, "wait."  Then when you want them to go out tell them, "okay."  It is relatively easy to teach a dog this; of course the earlier they are taught this behavior the better.
